when we were kids my mother wouldn’t let us look at Mad,said it wasn’t good for us.

Mine didn’t want us to (I got my first issue in the 70s while visiting a college bookstore as part of a summer school program for grade schoolers at the local college).

Then a couple of years of reading the paperbacks from the local library and buying the paperbacks at bookstores and newsstands. It was all downhill for me from there!

My parents subscribed to Mad! They enjoyed it along with the kids.

And there was the Mad satire of the movie...
