LOL! We had a friend from the Rio Grande Valley who said that he and his brothers all had long braids in the late 70s. One night when they were all asleep, their mother went around with sewing shears and cut all the braids off.
I have occasionally threatened my sons, who are heavy sleepers, with something similar! #2 Son hasn’t had a haircut in almost two years: he looks like a bear.
