The Amish joke is a tradition on these boards not to poke fun at the Amish who are actually good Americans. It is satire used to deride the P.C. media as the joke they are.

Yep, the Amish are a quintessential Civil Society to use rhetorically as a foil to the emptiness of reportage of the LSM.
