A Turkish court on Sunday released a man who confessed to kicking a young woman in the face on an Istanbul bus because she was wearing shorts.
The 35-year-old had confessed during his interrogation to attacking the woman but was released by the court after it decided that no crime had been committed.
Turkish police had arrested the man on charges of kicking a woman for wearing shorts on a bus in Istanbul.
Police detained the suspect on Saturday in Turkey's largest city, the private Dogan news agency reported.
He was heard shouting: 'Those wearing shorts must die!'

Women are at fault for enticing men with their beauty, and in Islam, they are inherently evil, so they must be contained for the sake of men’s self control.
So Muslim men have an excuse for sexually harassing or raping women who aren’t covered up (because it is her fault for not being covered up) and they see it as a moral good because they scare the other women into covering up so they aren’t groped and raped.
