“Who should we fault for this disaster? Should we blame his enablers in the Republican party? But which ones?”
I love how if you go through the entire article the only paragraph that even comes close to blaming Clinton for her own failures is the very last one and even that skirts completely around the actual issues.
Democrats have been indoctrinating our youth for decades. Changing the character of our country forever by importing tens of millions of foreigners who will not assimilate. And now have at least half the public taking some type of government subsidy. All this damage has been done to try and give them an unbeatable coalition. Yet they are still getting beaten in the presidential election and the Republicans might still hold both houses of congress after November 8th.
It is nothing short of a miracle, and it all comes back to one thing. Democrats seem to not have the ability to be introspective. Republicans and conservatives seem like a bunch of self doubting fools who will eat their own much of the time, but at least we have the capability to look at ourselves and say, “Yes I was wrong, and now I am going to do better.” That is not a bad thing... we have the ability to look at ourselves in the mirror and see our warts. They do not, all they can do is sit around and blame others for their problems . Even when they say they are blaming themselves; it is always with qualifications and they still end up lashing out at someone.
The final sentence from the piece, “Do we blame the voters, for not doing their homework, exercising judgment, or just basically paying attention?” He goes through this entire piece, blaming people and still concludes by blaming the voters in his final sentence. Amazing!

And it is glorious!
“We will not be slaves again.”
Mr. Coyne has a right to his opinion, of course. But from this deplorable’s view point, the abyss looks mighty fine from here.
Go Trump/Pence.
Please, please tell me where I can go to contribute for the ropes and drugs.
I am so sick of hearing this manure. Trump was an underdog on the media polls when this thing started. And because the democrats have no one else they thought could be an independent shoe-=in based upon factors that mean nothing to the job like jilted wife, first woman president, smartest woman in the world, yeah right, and the sheep making media in their pockets, they forsaked everyone else and put her on the pedestal even before they started. And because of a lack of that fore-thought, history is being reversed as she is spending a large part of her time on damage control for her actions and words which is what the libs have done to the GOP in the past.
But Trump’s campaign wasn’t to please anyone. He came out with a series of needs that was what the people were talking about because that’s what he thought was right.. He didn’t care about political correctness that the media requires. He couldn’t be threatened with his political aspirations they could take away. They can’t take anything from him except see to it he steps in front of a train. So, the only thing they have is that Trump is the rising underdog he never was. And he is gaining on her.
One question hammers that thought, how can an underdog be a person that has never tried for office, has play the political game all over the world with his businesses, and accumulated 1.4 million more primary votes, all across the country, than any other republican candidate has ever received in the history of the US, still be an underdog, or ever was? Kind of insults your intelligence, doesn’t it.

Well said
We have witnessed the total demise of a fine paper over the last couple of years... Outside of the very occasional guest columns by Conrad Black and a few columnists like my good friend Parker Gallant (who exclusively deals with Provincial matters), the Post has become totally unreadable.
So openly corrupted has CBC become it is likely that the main figures do not even realize their own lack of integrity. We are now bombarded with a massive coverage of the American presidential election. Trump is the "hate figure". To me it is Orwellian in it's scope. When Stephen Harper the Conservative prime minister was defeated just over a year ago, their "hate figure" should have been gone. Even today they cannot let go re Harper. If it was not for the internet, there would be no voices raised. The print media has followed suit.
“a victory for all that is dark and barbaric in the American character.” referring to Trump victory.

The hate that libs have for anyone that disagrees with them is “dark and barbaric” IMHO.
BLM is also hateful.
Holy hysterical hillarybot!
If Trump wins, I can’t wait to see the looks on a lot of faces and not just Mr. and Mrs. Bill, but Jebbie too, TCruz, Kay-sick, Ryan-o, the two McCs, etc.
But, of course! ;)
“The aging opportunists like Newt Gingrich or Rudy Giuliani, who see in Trump their last chance at power and cant be bothered to worry about what he represents?”
Or maybe they actually love that he represents the interests of regular Americans for a change, rather than the special interests and the globalists. I do understand why those who love and enable the corrupt special interests and the open-borders, anti-sovereignty, anti-American globalists would be worried though.
“a victory for all that is dark and barbaric in the American character”
Don’t look at us, only two national leaders run around with their shirts off— yours and Russia’s.
Pass the tankard of ale and that half-eaten beef shank as long as you’re up...
Mr. Coyne .. I have but two words for you ... GET BENT!
Vote Donald J Trump if you value America at all!
As for anyone in the media who doesn’t like me exercising my First Amendment rights ... BITE ME!
There is no other explanation for the Superdelegates nominating such a shallow, dishonest, weak, corrupted, decrepit, uninspiring, and evil person.
That explains some of it. But don't discount the "first woman president" and "it's her turn" factors. And all the standard political tactics and dirty tricks besides blackmail that were used to clear the field before the primaries began.
All of that happened before the emergence of Trump, when the uniparty could tell itself that even if the obviously weak Hillary failed they could live with Jeb or Marco.
Oops!
“We are staring into the abyss of a TRUMP PRESIDENCY”
When you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back, and FLIPS you the BIRD”
Too much Rocky Horror.
But let’s all do the TIMEWARP AGAIN; back to a Reaganesque Presidency.
