She can certainly make a Federal Torture case out of this.
The penalties under Federal Law are severe.
I didn't even look at the races.

The officer was a black female who simply wanted to have a joy ride on the completely restrained lady.
It was so strong that another officer two hours later couldn't breathe in the room while giving her water.
I say do this 3-fold worse to the officer, and be done with it. If the officer survives, good for her. If she dies a horrible death, good for us.

They don’t torture terrorists like this in America.
Food for thought.

Aw, poor little Miss Adventure. I hope the police have everything on video. In this age of the police being portrayed as villains, no PD with a single intelligent person in it would be caught dead without one.
I am willing to bet that either they don't and this chick is exploiting that, or Miss Adventure's little video is going to be entertaining a lot of people at the courthouse.

The heavyset white officer who came in later to check on her was having trouble breathing himself, he kept covering his mouth and stepping back. He put on latex gloves just to touch her, checking for a pulse? They knew before a few minutes had passed that they had a big problem on their hands, and chose to obstruct rather than come clean.
What, exactly, was this woman charged with, to be arrested in her own home, anyway? Has this been established?
To: Mariner
Two things. When someone gets put in the chair, they already did something that necessitated them being in there, and with drunks, its usually assaulting staff.
That being said, that deputy that came in and sprayed her should be prosecuted. That was entirely punitive and violated the woman’s civil right, despite her probably being a serious drunken Alfa Hotel.
This is why it is important that supervisors step in and temporarily reassign officers who have been assaulted by prisoners so that they are not tempted to exact “payback”.

Amazing that a reporter from the WaPo doesn't know how to conjugate the verb "spit."
Plummer said Swink spit on the officer and punched a cell window once inside the jail.
The past tense of the verb "spit" is "spat."

Police officer in Orlando just convicted for kneeing a prisoner in a holding cell.
Former OPD cop found guilty of felony battery. That is probably the appropriate charge in this case too.
No doubt there are plenty of bad ones to weed out. Time to update they pysch screening process.
