Even if he had the Pole, Hamilton would probably blow the start again. Maybe he’s better off with a second row start.
Ricciardo is on the SuperSoft, Hamilton on the UltraSoft to start. So Hammy needs to get by Ric immediately or his race strategy is going to be hosed. Start is crucial for Hammy.
he’s having a LOT of bad starts this year
Hamilton isn’t getting off the grid slow like Webber always did. He’s making poor decisions setting up for turn 1 or 2. He has a great car and he’s a talented driver, but he may think both are better than they actually are.
