No, he didn't get off easy. He got about what was coming to him, I think.
He was a total sleeze, which is exactly what I thought at the age of 21 or 22 when I used to see his ads when I went down to the NYC area.
Actually, the place I went was Chappaqua, believe it or not.
It was a pretty good sized NY chain. I recall there was one in Yonkers on Central Ave, and another one not too far from Stony Brook on the Island. And there were probably at least 3 or 4 more.
