One of my favorite political tricks of all time was when Richard Nixon was speaking to a group of Chinese folks in California during the campaign.
Every time Nixon would say something that he wanted cheering and applause for the cameras, his staff would hold up big signs saying “Free Beer for All” written in Chinese.
