She has 24 hour medical care. I find it amazing that her physician would let the edema get this bad without adding diuretics. However if her kidneys are also failing getting rid of the excess fluid in the body is difficult even with the diuretics.

I vote for Congestive Heart Failure complicated by poor renal function.
