It’s a toy breed problem. I hear there is a surgury but it involves inserting a ring on the outside of the trachea. Probably expensive and done only by a specialist. With age ot gets weaker and worse. We use a bronchial dialator medicine which helps some.

Yeah I heard about that procedure, that it lasts for a few years than fails..I always thought it happened because we didnt use a harness on Nemo, we would just attach the leash to his collar, but we see most dogs walk around with leashes on their collars and their owners pull them and nothing happens..does this happens to Maltese’s too or mostly Poms..I wish they came up with a cure I hate hearing the goose sound, he will run off with his tail down, cough once then come back..we hope we dont have to do the meds til many many years from now
