You’re probably more likely to get diseases working as a nurse than as a legal prostitute who always uses condoms.
And your kid is more likely to be at the “ mercy of a total stranger” working late in a desolate office than at a legal brothel with security everywhere.

One of the great things about Venice...learned from Rick Steve’s book...was the transportation workers’s cafeteria near the train station. Anybody can eat there. Exit the station down to the Grand Canal...turn right at the water, follow the canal a block or two, climb some steps and enter a nondescript building...you’re in the cafeteria. You get a full meal for cheap cheap. Hard to beat in Venice. Also had an expresso bar AND a regular (alcohol) bar.

Interesting city but I’ll take Florence anytime.

Was it Germany or some other place over there where they'd legalized prostitution and the government built roadside stalls. The customer drives up and gets it on inside his car or on the cot. The insane citizens voted on it. Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

I've been there and the answer is yes. Lots of pigeons, and the water is stagnant. Beautiful architecture and artwork.

Fly into Munich, see that city. Rent a car, hit Liechtenstein (just to say you did it), then Milan. Then head to Venice. It’s an easy drive, beautiful country, and a LOT cheaper than flying into/out from Venice! And if you have time, Zagreb and Vienna on the loop back to Munich.

It’s about 20 hours of road time, total. Spread out over 7-8 days, that’s nothing. Cut that time in half by dropping the trip back from Venice to Munich via Zagreb and Vienna.

It’s not the airfare that kills you. It’s the lodging. Ridiculous!

Why not just move it to Arizona, brick by brick? For one thing that would clear up that ridiculous flooding problem they appear to have in the streets. Apparently the rest of Venus is like that too.

In case you were born in a barn those "dirty" jobs are LEGAL and moral. Prostitution is not.
Women don't want dirty, dangerous jobs or jobs that are away from home. SO, women don't work on the merchant marine ships, as men do, collect garbage, work in the mines, dig ditches, etc.
They want CLEAN jobs: doctors, attorneys, bankers, etc.
Hospital work is only dangerous if those hospitals and doctors are third world numb-nuts. People come from ALL over the world to OUR hospitals...WE don't go there.

I guess you aren't a Christian. For Christians sex outside of marriage is a sin. But, since you don't think that...you are either a foreigner, amoral or haven't a clue as to the horror of the sex trade. It's considered a sin in every society on the planet because it undermines marriage and the beauty of the sex act, God-given, for pleasure to married couples and for children.
Sex outside of the bond of marriage is sinful, to all Christian, Muslim and, I THINK, Jewish faiths.

Most of the issues you talk about are not endemic to sex work but to slavery. Which is the same nomatter what work the slave does. People are also enslaved under similar conditions to work in mines, factories, housekeeping, etc, etc, etc. My point is that by outlawing a service which there is ALWAYS demand for, you actually create MORE slavery because that job MUST now move underground. In healthcare, you handle even more disgusting bodily fluids and excrement than with 99% of sex work. Yes there are modern protections but they can fail just like a condom. How is that ANY different? Only in an illegal industry do you need things like chains and pimps. When you are an illegal prostitute you have ZERO protection. The main purpose of pimps was to provide that protection with violence. Pimps and slavery ONLY come about because it is illegal to get the justice system involved. Get it now?

Very few American women would talk about it due to the stigma but for many countries around the world it is 100% legal and no big deal. Friends and family talk about it openly with each other.
