Dragonflies are incredible. In addition to this article, I read on a while back that said they often eat while flying, and I think they can also fly backwards and upside down. They have a 90% success rate in hunting, as compared to lions and tigers, who have about a 50% rate of success. Most successful predators on earth.

But they are prey to the Robber fly. I've seen Robber Flies catch a couple of dragonflies.

I've never been bitten by a dragonfly, but have had several perch on a finger for a couple of minutes. Butterflies too.
