I here you. Wish I had some solid advice about Kentucky but I only pass through when visiting kin folks in Ohio and Upstate NY - biggest thing I notice is that when gets closer to Louisville, gas prices spike about 20 cents (or more) higher than the rest of the place. Like most of our States - there sure are a lot of pretty places there.

Good luck in your move and the decision for your final location.

Kentucky is primarily a rural state. Louisville is the biggest city and the only area with a democrat representing us at the federal level and i doubt if that will change. We historically have voted democrat at the local level but that has changed. The Ky senate went red a few years ago and the house has a good chance of doing the same this year. Kentucky will have a big turnout for Trump and that should pull the House with him which will turn the last blue chamber in the south red. It is not so much urban against rural as it is special interests as it is in the rest of the country. There are so many big donors with their hands out trying to dip into the tax payers pocket. Bevin will change some of that. Already put one of the attorney general’s lieutenants in jail for bribery. Lotsa house cleaning to do.
