Why would there be 1400 searches?

A few months ago there was a criticism of Google for not auto-completing some things that all the other search engines did autocomplete ... like “Hillary Clinton Indi......?” Yahoo and Bing went for “indictment” but Google went for “India”, “Indiana” and others. There was a YouTube video about it. I wonder how many of the self-searches were soon followed by calls to Google to alter the search algorithms, auto-completes, etc. If so then the reason for so many self-searches becomes clear: to make sure Google is doing what it was asked to do.

Doesn’t seem realistic. Where is the proof that this is from wiki leaks?
