It's very sad to see Ben Shapiro, once a hero to many on this forum, grovel for recognition at MSNBC in order to bad-mouth Trump and Bannon. I guess now he can make common cause with the other recalcitrant there, Bill Kristol.
It’s really hard for me to see why Shapiro would gladly dance to the tune played by MSNBC.
Forgiveness isn’t up to me to decide.
I won’t forget.
I’ll never buy their books or magazines again.
I used to listen to the Lee Rogers and Melanie Morgan show on KSFO, back around 2000 - 2002ish. Little Ben was an occasional caller to the show. Each time he would call, they would go on and on about what a brilliant young lad young Ben was. The dude called in frequently enough that I still remember his name and the schtick got tiresome.
My last recollection of Ben, on that show, was him calling in to report going off to college.
What has wonder really done to advance conservatism? So what if he wrote some articles. Big deal. He also proved that he is a hack who is willing to lie (i.e. Michelle Fields) to advance himself. He also proved that like every other Anti Trump nut, his ego is as big as all outdoors. Really have to question why all the ire against Trump that wasn’t there when Romney and McCain ran. Same thing applies to the idiots Mark Levin and Bill Kristol
I was glad to hear Bill Bennett denounce his “maybe” friends of the past who are so full of their own righteousness.
As a general rule, I don't hold a man's religion against him.
I imagine poor Ben is in a panic as he sees his bank account rapidly dwindling, and his future will consist of writing restaurant reviews for Trip Advisor at the rate of one-quarter penny per word.

Here is my Shapiro experience:
About 5 years ago Andrew Breitbart and I began conversations about my speaking to the secret Hollywood group Friends of Abe. Andrew hired a dinner for me and several members at a nice steak place. Nick Searcy, Adam Baldwin, Ann and Colin, the producers of “Fracknation” and Shapiro were all there (plus others who haven’t come out yet). Even then, as one person at the dinner told me, Benji was a “social justice warrior.”
Fast forward to TrumpTime: I was told by people who know at Breitbart that Benji is strongly money driven, do I suspect a heavy dose of posturing for pay is involved. But his crap got him canned as a speaker from a big college conservative group. He is married so I think the Fields stuff had less to do with romance and more to do with finance and the job opportunities that he thought would come with being anti-Trump.
Didn’t say anything about his religion.
Seems to me that his dislike for Donald Trump is treated on FR as akin to blasphemy these days, and so everyone has to make a big show of tearing his robes to show his outrage.
Perhaps Shapiro is the problem rather than Trump or Bannon.

You have little Ben pegged accurately. As one wit around here said ‘he thought he was the smartest kid in the 6th grade; no one liked him then, and no one likes him now’. He’s 30 with the maturity of 12. Little Ben shows all the signs of being a pampered boy who never was part of a sports team, who has never worked as part of a blue collar work crew. The condescension and arrogance wouldn’t survive that environment.
He’s one of the kiddy-cons like Meghan McCain, born during the middle of the Reagan administration, who have little real life experience but who have managed to set themselves up as conservative spokesmen. They came of age during the glorious Bush II dynasty (sarcasm) and they are full of neocon gas, which is one reason that they despise Trump.
I suspect his hatred of Steve Bannon comes from little Ben hitching his wagon to the Michelle Field’s scam which cost them their jobs at Breitbart. Seems that little Ben didn’t have a problem cashing their checks prior to that.

I was just joking about Fields though I do find her fetching in a buxom full lips ripe sort of way but she’s obviously of low character
I bought Shapiros book on Hollywood some years back which focused on TV in the era back when movies and tv had less crossover as you too likely recall
I thought it was a great book
So I started following and he started reminding me of a younger faster talking Jonah Goldberg sorta outlook on culture and as I alluded to earlier Pelham who got Shapiros radio show sent me some of his stuff which I sure didn’t like
What motivates Ben aside from $$$ is I’m guessing he finds Trumps immigration and Islam stands racist
I say that knowing you and I recall when actual racism was clearly defined in the 50s and 60s
Now it’s a smear and PC little turds like Shapiro and his road dog Weinstein use for political points
It’s not because Trump ain’t conservative enough

What "credit" was deserved for declining to criticize Bush's insane Amnesty/Illegal Invasion policy? Who cares on which network he would be telling the truth?
This Levin's chance to explain WHY Bush's Amnesty policy was an anti-America policy with bi-partisan-support. Wrong is wrong. That made Levin a damned a coward in my eyes.
NOW look at America, a haven for illegals and refugees for all the Third World riff-raff. But at least Levin retained his integrity and didn't "trash Bush" on Hardball.
