Too Corrupt to Jail....

Honestly this is exactly WHY I think “National Secrets” are a very very bad idea, with the exception of ONLY things like Launch codes and troop deployment information.

A government “of the People” also has to be transparent to the point of EVERYTHING, especially things like TREATIES with other countries and DEALINGS with other countries.

And even if you have to have a secret they MUST be TIME LIMITED to no more than 10 years.

Too much corruption can hide behind secrets and the crony mess that is Big Gov/Biz KNOWS THIS.

The fact that we are getting a “Peek under the Hood” so to speak and what we are finding is exactly what we all expect AND WORSE, is very telling.

I agree. We need to believe in open dealings. We can take it. We pay for this ship. We need to see how it sails.

I’m not sure I don’t disagree, but Enigma was big enough to keep a secret until the 90’s. I think the UK was right to keep it that way, and I also think poor Alan Turing should be knighted and more posthumously.
