One thing is for sure...the USA is not remotely the country that it was before the 1960s....when a nation declines it does not do so in a straight line. We certainly had a semi-revival in the 1980s with the election of president Reagan, but since then we find ourselves back on the road to perdition.
Shoot, we’re not even the country we were in 1999.
Man, do I miss it. I doubt it will ever come back. With Trump, we may get a small reprieve.
With Hillary...................

Yes. That election where GWB won over Gore seemed to be the tipping point. It’s where the left went permanently insane, stopped trying to even hide who and what they are, and decided that anything and everything is okay as long as they end up with more power. The world turned upside down with “hanging chads” and “dimpled chads” and ever since then it’s gotten even worse.
Anarchists set off a massive bomb on Wall Street in 1920. The Black Dahlia was killed and her body severed in two in 1947. The Boston Thrill Killers were rampaging in Massachusetts in 1954. Ed Gein slaughtered one of his victims the day before I was born in 1957. The Badlands Killers went on a sixty day killing spree in 1958.
I agree that something changed in the 1960s but there’s always been sick, depraved monsters among us. I wonder if the media saturation just makes things seem worse today.
