If someone left a loaded handgun laying on a coffee table in a house full of children and someone ended up shot and killed with that gun as a result, I think the argument could be made that the person who left the gun laying on the table was, at the very least, primarily responsible. The argument could be made that the act was so criminally negligent that it was, for all intents and purposes, intentional.
