I’d probably not mix the reactants outside a lab.

But that’s just me.

Unless you’re having a ‘hold muh beer’n watch this!’ moment and fancy EMT’s and possibly serious injury or death in your future.

Having said that, I accidentally picked up the wrong spray bottle while cleaning the bathroom once. I got out of there quick, turned on the fan and didn’t do that again!

I mixed bleach and ammonia once at a steakhouse, gonna mop the floor.

I was in the back near the loading door. The reaction was intense. I couldn’t breathe and got that mix of hell out the door and on the pavement.

It filtered through the work areas. I was 17 and didn’t have a clue.

Needless to say that never happened again.
