That’s the thing that really makes the article ring a bit hollow, even though the point they are making is a legit one.

Showing venues in places hit by devastating war doesn’t count.And the ski-jump in Italy is over 60 years old! It likely wouldn’t even be safe to use anyway.

What happened to the Moscow venues? Mexico City? Seoul? Barcelona? and Sydney?

LA and Atlanta used existing infrastructure so they are far better off.

A friend of mine just travelled through Barcelona. He reported they still make good use of the facilities they built.
