As for the Catholic problem, probably a man of courage who seeks to pull the Church completely out of the early Medieval sexual “Dark Age” and into a new age of “enlightenment”. If he still gets communion despite promoting sin/public scandal
If he’s a closet case, he can be blackmailed. Russians, Saudis, you name it.
It is a matter of national security.
