This actually is a great article to read, for our side.
The government was telling people to floss, but they admitted they had no science to back up the fda recommendation, and the thing is, fda recommendations need to have something concrete to make such recommendations. What the reporter found is that they had no such criteria, and when they were called on it, they dropped it because they admitted they had no scientific research to point to.
This is good. Not bad.
This is the government recommending something and they did not follow their own procedures, and could not find anything to base it on, so they dropped it. All from a simple FOIA request.
Further the article points out that of course, getting food that is stuck between your teeth out is obviously a good thing, but systematically flossing your teeth that don’t have problems, this is where the benefit is questioned.
I know all types of Dentists/Doctors/Alternative medicine.
This is the one area they all agree on. You are crazy if you don’t floss.
We had an old friend to dinner recently. He is an anesthesiologist, I do primary care so naturally some time was spent talking about Medicine. He pointed out the fraud in modern “evidence based” medicine and the bureaucracy we deal with. All physicians are required to do a number of things, board exams, CME, etc. there has never been any “evidence” to support ANY of that.
Just like “climate change”. I stopped believing the government a long time ago. Laws are made by idiots that were elected by idiots. Same goes for enforcement.
