That’s correct about the sun going to sleep but the poles are moving faster than anyone predicted. If we lose our magnetic field, that will not be good.

I would not like to be on an airplane when a flip happens. On the ground there will probably be power outages for awhile until everything is re-calibrated. Definitely not an “Armageddon” scenario unless everyone freaks out because they can't charge their devices to play Pokemon Go.
