Had a great time there! Yes I'm easily amused.
Do you get to keep them or is it “public” property, so it has to be given back or else you violated the federal law?
White Diamond? Was it singing “Kentucky Woman”?
You keep what you find there.
I wouldn’t tell anybody. ;)
I’m sure she will always remember the excitement of finding that diamond. If she had it cut for a ring it would probably come out to about a half carat, and the memory will be much more valuable than the cut diamond ever would.
You find it, it is yours!
If you like they will weigh it and verify it.
That said people right near me found them, very friendly environment, but you could tell they did NOT want to brag about their find. They were locals and said they come three or four times a week, weather permitting.

They claim that diamonds from this area are harder than other diamonds?

I’m not an expert by any measure but I see some pretty large inclusions in that stone and some major flaws
A skillful cutter no doubt would find a way to make at least one good gem from such a large stone.
Dig, baby, dig!

Nice find.
The 4.25-carat Kahn Canary was worn by first lady Hillary Clinton at her husband’s Presidential Inaugural galas in 1993 and 1997 as a special way to represent Arkansas’s diamond site. The diamond’s owner, Stan Kahn of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, loaned the diamond to Mrs. Clinton. (???)
