Like too many others he can’t hit the high notes anymore so the instruments take more emphasis. Saw Ray Charles perform at age 69. It was sad but it was a trip down memory lane.

What happened to him? Ill tell you what happened to him: 75 freaking years! Thats life, and it is a bitch. Sure, some people look a little better than others as they age, but time is not kind to anyone.

Oh, Hell. All these old hippies look and sound the same to me. Including Kerry.

Paul is no spring chicken, but Bridge Over Troubled Water was originally sung by Art Garfunkel.
I *know* that they hate each other, but face it, Art had the pipes.
Sure Simon had a great career after S&G, and maybe he hated the fact that he was the songwriter, but the truth is, they needed each other to reach such great heights.
IDK why Paul doesn't realize that.
Without Art, he wouldn't have had the "opportunity" to make the great music that came later.

“At The Zoo” would have been a more appropriate song for this bunch.

He should hide himself in shame. Couldn’t get through karaoke on a cruise ship sounding like that

The pianist sucked, too. He should have listened to the vocalist and followed him. Pianist was too busy trying to embellish and make it like ‘black, spiritual church’.
Pandering..........again.

I hated that song then, hate it now.
It soon became the new “kum-bah-yah”. Everytime I heard it all I wanted to do was puke. It made everyone feel good. I thought it was just a crappy song.

The Sound of Silence would be better.Or The Boxer. I have his entire oeuvre on cd and wouldn't give two cents for any of them except "Keep the Customer Satisfied."

Without Art no one ever would have heard of Paul Simon (and vice versa). They needed each other, they had complementary talents.

I saw Count Basie right before he died. His band took his cues. They were ‘tight’. And he was elderly and drove on stage in a scooter.

Ouch. KFI host just said that Simon sounded like your grandmother trying to sing.

He sounded like dog poop. Absolutely off key and horrible. Some of his fake eyebrow was coming off. How to age gracelessly. This convention is so horrible. Bill Clinton was watching this last speaker with a perpetual strange grin on his face, completely out of context, mouth lolling open. It seems both Clintons have some kind of neurological damage. Cocaine, Bill. A hellova drug. Wow I don't know what your just did, but I was reading your post, my face all concerned and stressed in a kind of political/medical mode, and then, suddenly, while reading your post, without my face changing, I started to laugh.
Man that was weird! LOL!
