There was no danger of Obama going to Orlando to condemn the homosexuals. By contrast, anyone who’s known him five minutes knew Obama was going to use the fallen police officers’ memorial to shiv all police everywhere. And that is exactly what the cop-hater did; he called ALL police racists.
Obama needed cover for the act of treachery he was about to commit. He invited Cornyn, but even the Establishment knew to steer clear of Obama’s fatally toxic anti-cop crusade.
Of course Cruz hopped right aboard. It’s like, ‘Obama needs legitimizing? No problem, I’m all in.’
Obama also had the Bushes on board, along with Cruz. I don’t think it was anything other than a courtesy. A mere senator would hardly be able to “legitimize” Obama via a shared plane ride, especially since his and the Bushes’ presence wasn’t reported on every news break.
