Yeah, the doubling down was the final nail in the coffin of Ted’s career. Further, as a Christian you are supposed to forgive those that trespass against you as you beg forgiveness for your trespasses against others. further still, in the heat of a political battle, many things are said, intimated, and outright accused. These things are normally put aside when the battle is finished. To the victor goes the spoils. Holding grudges and hurt feeling are not only very immature, but extremely shortsighted.
My wife and I were strong Cruz supporters, hoping that even with the nomination going to Trump, Cruz would still be in the mix. We (Republicans) have a great bench and would like to see all of our great talent put to work. But then his speech and subsequent double angry doubling down did us in. We now question his sincerity and political competence. We are all if for Trump.
Well stated!
You hit the nail right on the head. I too was a strong Cruz supporter and after the Indiana primary you knew it was over for him but I hoped he would do something positive and could have ended up at AG. I starting focusing my efforts on unifying the party. But as he persisted with fanning the flames of this #NeverTrump movement it became very troubling I started praying hard about this situation in early June. While praying one day at that time seeking God about what was the problem with this movement because I dd not feel right about it. I had the following Bible verse come into my Spirit. I was Proverbs 30:12 which is:
12 There are those who are pure in their own eyes
yet are not cleansed of their filthiness.
I think it says it all. What happened to him and this movement looks to be a strong rebuke from the Lord.
Welcome aboard the Trump Train!! MAGA
