I have to get one hopefully before VW fixes it. Up to 50 mpg is nothing to laugh at. It looks like buying one in Kalifornia might be doing someone a perceived favor.
Dealers have been sitting on their stock of 2015s, waiting for a fix to be able to sell them. (I went for a test drive this Spring - the dealers are supposed to exercise them occasionally)
It looks like these used vehicles might be coming on the market cheap. I want one!
Our son has a 2014 TDI wagon and loves it!
They have a downside, the DSG double clutch 40,000k maintenance.
The dealer took him for about $600+, he used the VW rebate; only place he can spend it.
Note he drives over 200 miles each day, to work and back.
We have a Prius V wagon, not quite as roomy and far lower maintenance.
I think he spends more for the trans than fuel?
If he keeps it we will buy the special tools.
