It seems that the obvious next move for the French is to send the French Foreign Legion to Tunisia to go full throttle agaist ISIS. Not only was the Nice, France terrorist from Tunisia but that country is also a recruiting grounds for ISIS which has a strong presence there.
The French Foreign Legion don't fool around. When they are sent to African nations, the groups they oppose often disperse in all directions rather than directly encounter the French Foreign Legion. Since no jungle in Tunisia, it would be much harder for ISIS to hide.
Anyway, that seems to be the very obvious choice of what the French need to do now.
Yeah I’ve seen that figure to. Either way that city is a gonner.
They did well against Al Qaeda fighters in Mali (Operation Serval). ISIS fighters are not any more disciplined or trained than Al Quaeda.
French Foreign Legion does not care about PC. They are as tough as they come.
Man, are you on drugs? The FFL is not to be trifled with. They are very disciplined fighters.
You are correct, Larteguy’s book was published in English under that title, “The New Centurians”.
nonsense the FL, is a tough bunch of men, with no rule book..a few heads rolling down the street, will turn this around, Muslims are brave when it comes women and children....see how fast they leave town
they are worthless...you watch too many movies.
think so? lets give it 30 days and see
I tend to agree with you. I am not an expert on FFL but I have read extensively about the FFL over the decades and some of their individual military unit heroism is just astounding.
I’ve never read anything “specific” and “factual” that was negative about them. And, I’m speaking of their fighting prowess.
They did just fine fighting Al Quaeda in Operation Serval, that wasn't just a movie as far as I know.
In contrast, you seem to be basing your judgment purely on a knee-jerk hatred of the French nation and its people, doubtless a carry-over from the days of the GW Bush administration's "Freedom Fries" idiocy.
They need to be sent to France.
