I did a bit of research and it turns out that Hardee losing his share in the business at poker was not true. HOWEVER, check out the
STORY OF HARDEE'S and it is just as fascinating. It turned out that Wilber Hardee lost his interest from the get go with his partners by giving them the majority of the interest in the company. His mistake was not telling them to take, say, 20% each and keeping the majority 60% for himself. The rest of the story about Mr. Hardee is quite interesting.
