I was talking on Sunday with an acquaintance from England. He said he just returned from a Cub Scout campout with his son, and he was amazed at how many toxic plants and animals there are in the U.S. He said he’s lived here 14 years, but he’s only in his second year with the Scouts.
His daughter and son will be in my bilingual supplementary Sacrament class this year.
We have toxic plants capable of killing in seconds, lucky most Brits haven’t a clue what they are looking at and so don’t touch.
Some are seasonally dangerous, others always on standby.
The animals are mostly benign, except during the rutt.
But he is right, we do have it easy here with regards to Wildlife in general .
The poisonous snake just can’t be bothered with the hassle.
Bilingual.....English and American English. .? :D
