There seem to be a lot of people on this forum who support putting Penny on the train tracks when a train is approaching. I can't figure out why.

Ok question: Did any mortgagee or financial institution ever put any farmer’s daughter (or anyone!)on the train tracks for not meeting the mortgage payments?

How did this ridiculous meme get started? Were salient movies the first example? Old dime store novels?

I am not enough of an historian to precisely answer that question. My own recollection is that the first bad bankers were Wells Fargo agents.

Or maybe that was the most recent. The braims, they fail me sometimes.

Definitely, although it would not have been the turkey, or the potatoes, or the yams, or the green beans, or the apples in the pie, or the cocoa beans.

Do I feel sorry for them?

Not at all

I think I understand... you’re playing Charades with this cat and the previous one.

“Phantom of The Opera” does the “Chim-chim-Chimney” number from “Mary Poppins”.

Yes?

And I meant SILENT MOVIES not salient movies. Bad Surface Bad! (slap sound occurs!) 😀

It’s probably a Wildlife Deflector. There aren’t many cows roaming free these days. In the locale where this creature was ‘home’ it would have more likely encountered a bambi or a bruin or both rather than a cow.

That and the occasional auto playing crossing roulette..

But yes, a fine looking machine that has been resurrected from being stuffed and mounted and rusting away..

Goodbye Carrie Fisher.

Not that I am aware of what you did between Star Wars (renamed “A New Hope”) and “The Force Awakens” but it seems you had a harder life than I would have wanted for you.

I’ll miss you more than George Michael.

Now can the news web sites get back to news?

She did have a rough life. Some guy was saying, when Mick Jagger’s latest baby was born, that the child was sure to have a great life because his father is a rich celebrity.

Well, Carrie Fisher.

Since I was literally in the air today, did Carrie Fisher pass away? Darn, if she did.

I’m home. I found some food that wasn’t quite science project material, so I ate it. It was that, or drive some place for groceries or fast food. I don’t feel like doing either one. In fact, I’m not going to unpack until morning.

Our Lenore at the Walmart may call herself Leonard when she’s off-shift, but she’s Lenore at work. As I said, tall and slender, very short hair, with hints that her non-work personal is Goth.

But who’s more Goth than Poe, right?

I was just working on typing up the music for Sunday when Norma called to say Asuncion wants to change it. Never a dull moment in the choir biz.

Glad you made it home! I have a pile of Science Project food in the corner of the kitchen by Santana’s cage. The Cub Scouts are studying mold and decomposition.

"Never a dull moment in the choir biz."

That's why I put a chapter or two of choir biz in my most recent book.

That and I wanted to fool people into thinking I'm a nice guy.

You’re complex, Bob.

Miss Norma and I are supposed to speak, at an upcoming Diocesan Stewardship Conference, about our parish’s experience with integrating Spanish-speaking people into a previously English-language parish. The choir-biz will feature prominently. It will be like the Rather Batty Ladies Married to Guitarists panel discussion, pass the wine.

I told her the diocese would like it, honest.
