All I know is the Murphy’s Law quote “ A 400 dollar picture tube will protect a 10 cent fuse by blowing first”
Well, then. You should have been here to spare me all that angst. ;o]
For those who care about such things, the 95 yo uncle of Mrs. ArGee that I met this summer was at Pearl Harbor abourd the U.S.S. Dale.
The Dale was the only ship to actually get clear of the harbor.
Until I met Uncle Tommy I didn’t know any ships had gotten clear of the harbor.
On Dec 7 2016 there’s only one thing to say.
SAAAAAAAAA-LUTE
I was going to go back to Walmart this morning, but it seemed useless.
Instead I seriously considered going in to get the prescription, then I realized that it had probably already been shredded, as it’s been two weeks since I asked for it. So I will ask for it tomorrow, and if they call me tomorrow night, I will go get in on Friday. A good excuse, yes?
My friend from Brigham City, Utah was online a few days ago, asking about my trip, saying he often hated to pack because he kept forgetting things. I told him I have a list that I have in several places in the computer and thumb drives, and that I was going to get it out and dust it off.
It needed a lot of changes. But it’s a pretty good tool to have, for sure.
Last time I was at the dollar store, I saw some little clear plastic travel bottles, in addition to the ones I got at Walmart. While I was revising the list, I realized I needed a bottle for the colloidal silver, and found exactly one in the suitcase.
If I can stand up long enough today, I’ll get the pills ready and into their plastic bags. They will actually be in three: one for the times of day, one for the day and one for them all, plus the silver. That will take a while.
On top of that, I have to do dishes, but I will need another pain pill before I can start that. :o|
The Bing page has a very nice tribute today. Unfortunately, it isn’t available for download.
The late Igor went to the recruiting station on Monday, December 8, 1941, and wanted to enlist in the navy. He didn’t pass the minimum weight requirements, so he ran down the street to the grocery store, bought three pounds of bananas, ate them and went back to the recruiting station. The recruiter said that anyone who would eat three pounds of bananas to get into the navy should be able to do so, and signed him up.
I just posted something on it!
My great-uncle Howard joined the Army two days after Pearl Harbor, having gotten married to Miss Norma on December 6.
Bumped.
I hope I didn’t sound too cantankerous.
The late Igor had an eidetic memory, and his personal history for the years during WWII that he served in the South Pacific is filled with names, dates, times, places and the excellent detail that is found in history books of that era.
I was amazed as I typed what he wrote longhand, and then read it. I believe I’ve read it three times, now. It’s very interesting.
Is it on?
Is it plugged in?
Is the outlet live?
To which we now add “Are you logged in?”
;>)
Oh, yes! I need that, just because I go jogging through the cold swamps on my way to the office! LOL!
Re-boot
Re-program
Replace.
Go for a Cup of Tea, then try something else.
An update on #6584: I got a text from SW Medical reminding me of an appointment on the 14th, which was supposed to be a follow-up for the procedure I didn’t have, but I will take it, anyway, so I don’t have to make two trips.
Right now, my main concern is that I’m out of ink. I checked Walmart online and it costs more for a combo pack of four (three colors plus black) than it does to buy the pack of three and the one of black. I don’t understand that, but there it is.
I think I need to go take a breathing treatment. The wind was up when I was out with the peeps (Chuck’s friend, Kenny, standing in for Chuck, including giving dog treats to Cindy 1’s little dog!) and I couldn’t stay out there. Now I’m coughing a lot.
My winter coat has no hood, and it’s not very warm, so I was bundled up in layers. The cold wind still go to me.
The cold wind still GOT to me! Dang!
Ok, Moosie...here’s your chance...
Nully? You want this?
