LOL!
Oh, Moosie, that’s funny! LOL!
I love Sister Cities with a sense of humor. ;o]
:)
There is a third entry in the saga , but I’m waiting to see if anyone posts it.
Then the Trifecta of mediocrity will be complete.....bwahahaha.....there will be no escape from the out of date Blancmange this time!
Out-of-date blancmange is so British.
My microwave has decided that the numbers 7,8 and 9 on the keypad are unnecessary. Everything else on the pad works, so I emailed the company. What a revoltin’ development this is...
Only Charlie was out today, and we decided that since I wasn’t there yesterday, “at the usual time,” we stood each other up. He was at a meeting that I should have gone to, and I wasn’t here. *sigh* I bribed him with sugared donuts that I grabbed at Walgreen’s when I dropped off my prescription for morphine and picked up the Gabapentin (for my neck.) He was happy about that. ;o] He eats a LOT of sweet stuff, but he is pretty healthy, all in all.
I got the dress ready to pin out, and will try to do that tomorrow. I had to quit as my back was bothering me so much. But I watched the video on the Singer, so my refresher course in sewing on a Singer is complete. No Singer stores in St. George. *sigh* Here there is one within walking distance.
“Welcome to Utah. Set your clocks back 50 years.” Yeah. Like that.
Sounds like a loose connection between pad and board.
The effects of the out of date Blancmange are well documented throughout history......unfortunately there only two copies of these documents.
I have one set, Darks has the other.
We may at some point in the future be able to tell some of these stories.....
:)
I just got an email from the company, and the guy said those keys only work with certain functions, like Time Cook or Defrost. So I’m good with that. :o])
If you and Darks have the only two sets of Out Of Date Blancmange Effects, I will probably be dead by the time you can release them. In the meantime, I will pretend I know nothing. *kof-kof*
Has anyone done a comparative study of Blancmange vs. Fruitcake?
Oh, that reminds me. I need to find out if the Other Guy can do the Mass on Nov. 6. DP has to go on another campout.
DP and I are going away for the weekend, so I will need Morning Kitteh coverage for Saturday and Sunday mornings. The list is on my profile. I’ll do tomorrow; we’re not leaving until after lunch.
I used to post poems almost daily. You folks are better off with the kittehs.
Well, fruitcake is indestructible. Not sure if anyone has tested Blancmange.. ;-)
We’d be happy to have poems, too. Poems are nice. Yours are all rhyme-y and stuff, thought-provoking, with flashes of brilliant imagery.
It’s got to be a master’s thesis project in Food Science.
You know how to bribe me, don’t you?
Did it work?
I was thinking about this earlier today. You may consider Darksheare as you peruse it.
Sounds In The NightWe hear sounds in the night of work being done,
By toilers and strugglers deprived of our sun.
It is only our comfort that compels them to hide,
As we with our loved ones and treasures abide.
In darkness they toil to repair our worn roads,
Inexorable time limits act as their goads,
They sweat and curse softly the task made so vile,
By shadow enduring the whole of the while.
Deprived of the sun for the task they perform,
In making the broken things newly conform,
To a sullen onrushing of scurrilous knaves,
Turned out of their beds as if out of their graves.
The zombies of daylight come stumbling out,
As night-working elves shrink well back from the rout,
Too soon theyll return to assess once again,
The damages done by the legions of men.
Sisyphean tasks will await the next night,
Yet they willingly come back again to the fight,
Be blessed, oh ye workers and toilers unseen,
By the sunned-upon creatures of colorful scene.
Let childrens cries and birdsong be,
The lullaby of slumber free,
From dark concerns and matters best,
Attended to after proper rest.
