I was chatting with a friend on FB, and now I have to go take the pain pill and then try to pin out some of the dress.
Choir is done. Now I need to wrap a present (a Star Wars fighter) for the boy to whose party Frank is going.
I got the pattern pieces out and laid them on the fabric, but I will have to get another yard of the stuff for the sleeves, as they need to go with the grain, rather than across it. I lack about 8” of having enough. And I don’t have enough gelt to get another yard. *sigh*
Now I wish I had gotten some white Pink Drink... :o[
Gerg. I’ll send you a little gelt. I have some fabric that I can’t use for my standard skirt pattern because it’s a one-way print and I don’t have enough. Very annoying!
Leaving in a few minutes with Frank and Sally. Drop Sally at church, get the van inspected, take Frank to party, hang around party until Sally texts me, pick up Sally, bring her home, go back later for Frank (or send Tom).
This fabric has a pattern, but it’s woven and is obvious if it’s crosswise. That would not only look funny, but would hang funny as well. Argh!
I have some pattern templates that I’ve had for years, and I wish I could find the rest of the set of books the master patterns came with. Then all I would need is a roll of paper to be able to draft the pattern with any alterations.
Sending Tom to pick up Frank sounds much better! LOL!
I stopped at Home Depot last night for some stuff, and I noticed they had a large roll of craft paper outside, for people who wanted to carry stuff on the roof of their car or whatever.
I thought, "Hmm, that could be useful under some circumstances."
But I didn't need any at the time.
I went outside for a bit, in between sessions, and I’m still wishing I had some white Pink Drink. Actually, I’m wishing I had already been sampling it before I went out.
One of the guys, a perpetual drinker, sat on the bench beside me and kept up a non-stop stream of talk, interspersed by an equally non-stop stream of fumes. *sigh* I kept thinking, “If I’d only had a couple of glasses of vino, his breath may not be so toxic.” *sheesh*
And I also thought, between here and the ramada, that since the fabric I got was close to the end of the bolt, I may have to opt for the pinstripe, as there may not be any of the other stuff. But the pinstripe was darker. *groan*
Now I need something to eat. All this mental activity has given me a HUGH appetite!
It turns out the van can’t be inspected until next week at the earliest, because the inspection has to be within 90 days of the license renewal. Just cost us a little time ...
I’m thinking of running the vacuum. The boys tracked a lot of dirt in from the yard this morning.
Thursday, I sent off the registration and a check, and hope it isn’t long before I get the sticker back. Too bad there is such a thing as “too early” in the DMV worlds. You could have gotten that registration out of the way.
I had some rice pudding, as I’m running a fever again, and have cold chills. It seems I will have to take some Ibuprofen before long, or the fever won’t go down and the pain won’t go away. Looks like I will have to postpone that procedure on my neck. I don’t think Zeke’s car is running at the moment, anyway, and I don’t have the money to give him for being my limo service.
I’ve had to watch the Conference on the laptop, as I can’t get the channel that carries it on the TV. I’ll be glad to get to Utah, so I can have all that without paying extra for it. The good thing is that the next issue of the Ensign magazine will have all the talks in it.
What to eat...what to eat... Hmmmmm...
I’m having a banana.
My stinking computer just shut down again. I loathe this thing.
Maybe I want some soup. I was going to get some but had to cross it off. I’ll see what I have and hope my stomach lets me keep it.
For some reason, my feet are swollen...they haven’t been for quite some time, so I don’t know what’s going on right now with my body. Whatever it is, it’s ugly.

You’re welcome. Tom’s going to get Frank in a few minutes. We’re having the neighborhood carnival today, just across the street past the playground. Sally has been doing face painting (paid by the HOA) and the other kids have been over there eating. I’m sure Kathleen will be filthy!
I will have to buy some hanging files for one of the banker’s boxes. I was sorting through the files today and realized the file cabinet may not make it through this coming move. I’ve had it 15 years, and the wood has become very dry because of the climate. I had a second one, but it died when I moved from the studio into this apartment.
And I will also need to get more book boxes and tape. Maybe another three tubs. Hopefully, next month won’t have so much coming out as this month did. And I’m getting excited!
I hope Kathleen isn’t too filthy, but she probably doesn’t realize she’s a girl, so getting filthy is what’s to do! I did all the boy things, because I wanted to, but I didn’t like being dirty any longer than I had to.
And now, I’m going to bed. I’m just not feeling all that well, and I hope tomorrow is better.
