Good Morning, TC.
Those two sure have got their heads screwed on the right way. F&K
Never let a grazing opportunity pass by uninvestigated
Chick-fil-A? I haven’t had Chick-fil-A since my last visit to you! I’m waiting for the one to open here!
Of course: Just when I’m making plans to move to Utah.
Have got that Car song stuck in my head now. :)
Goodrich, Herefordshire.
87 degrees, visibility 8 miles, S @ 22, 41%, 20% chance of rain
I can’t see the Valley today for all the dust that the wind has kicked up. It is ugly!
And I made it through the night! YAY!
But the wind makes me sleepy (it’s a left-over from Valley Fever) and I don’t really want to lie down. I have to go sort my pills. Ungh.
Oh, that’s beautiful, Moosie! Do they ever let people climb around the ruins?
All of the original walkways that are safe to use are open for exploring.
They have started in the last few year to get adventurous, by replacing demolished areas with access platforms.
Everything that can be opened,is. :)
The three big charities that look after the historical sites do a great job between them, even wth their differing views on restoration.
When they share a site the differences really show. The building can be on its last legs but the grounds are immaculate.
Ohman. Now I REALLY want to go there! So many castle ruins, so little time... :o[
I just had a cup of water. I’ll never be thin eating fried chicken sandwiches.
Oh dear. I’m sorry. You run off so much of what you eat, I don’t know how you could be NOT-thin.
I’m going outside to look as the blowing dust and wait for the peeps.
Too much cantaloupe, maybe. There’s not much in the way of food that interests me right now, except cantaloupe.
Hope it’s a cheerful gathering!
It was a gathering. More than usual for a while. Eight of us. But: 98 degrees, visibility 6 miles, SSE @ 10, 28%, 10% chance of rain. Ugga bugga...
I will go take a breathing treatment now. The dust is desert dust. I think is must be from the Gobi Desert, this time.
Dinosaur bones.
We are having an application of advanced grass substitute stimulant.
No Gobi Dust though..
Ground-up bones are supposed to be good for your greengrowing stuff. We have heat and some clouds. I think it will storm later: the cats are edgy.
DP, Sally, and I are going to a homeschool association production of “The Merchant of Venice” tonight. Sally’s nervous friend April has a “Woman in Room” sort of part.
There was no clue for me that the wind was blowing so fiercely until I opened the door this morning. Then it was like, “Oh, crikey! Where did THIS come from?”
I got to Wally’s and found a debris pile for the length of the doorway and about 8” high, that was growing because of the wind.
Little bits of sand were stinging my face. I was glad to get back home!
Somehow, I’m on the mailing list for a zillion catalogs, and the one that came today was from Montgomery Ward. When I was almost to the end of it, I saw something I want when I get moved and settled: A small portable dish washer. Counter-top high, but not quite as wide as a regular one, but it would be enough for me.
Years ago, Igor bought one for me with a cherry wood top, and I loved that thing. I wish I had kept it till it wore out. So I’m going to think about this, a lot. Then I’ll be able to cook again!
I’ll get you one when you move.
Seems I remember my Grandmother mixing bone meal into her special dirt mixture...
Due to ongoing application of advanced grass substitute stimulant I was just accosted by a gray and white furbeast thoroughly covered in the substance. He seemed to think that by sharing the experience with me I would be inclined to offer him some cattreats.
I got him a towel and gave him a dewatering instead. Now he wants to emulate lapcat mode. I rejected his still-damp advances. Any other time he doesn’t want me anywhere near him. Or even talking to him. Or even speaking in his general direction.
Now I wonder where his brother is..
Even wetter, probably. Jake gets all friendly when he’s wet, too.
