It’s not really so much that these people feel they are somehow being hurt by everything around them... Their personalities are more toxic than anything they claim to avoid.

I have known a kid who was allergic to the mildest “fragrances”. He could NEVER live in a home like that. He had a job, loved to work on cars and had friends.

Knew another kid who had a reaction to most forms of light. He too had a job (Third shift) and wore sunglasses while at work. He had to cover up. Still a nice guy with hobbies and interactions.

Light, for god’s sake. Light.

And these cretins who want the people around them to change everything about themselves to “enjoy” the awful company of these bastards ... yet in the desert just let their guests sleep out in the open, un heated air ?

How caring.

I want to toss a CS grenade into their yards.

My son was recently diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. It limits what he can eat. Nothing with seeds, skin, low fiber, no whole grains, no gristly meat etc.

He just got back form two weeks as a camp counselor. At a few meals, he looked at what they had and then made a peanut butter sandwich.

In two weeks, we’re going backpacking for a week. We were clear with the menu planners that while we need to know what they are planning, we don’t want them to make a diet specifically for him. Instead, we need to know which meals to not include him on and he can bring his own food.

I knew a kid who was allergic to, well...just about everything. Sunlight was the biggest one. But there he was, participating in Boy Scouts, in Alabama (not a great place to have allergies). He’d be decked out in long sleeves, gloves, and a wide brimmed hat, in July - ready to camp!
