Try changing you beeber setting from Temporarily Kill to Permanently Kill. That usually works for me.
I believe FR uses cookies, and so if your AV software is also set to clean up cookies you’ll probably have to log in again to get a new set after it cleans out the old one.
Keep reading, Chuck.
Yes, I can log right back in (once the anti-virus run is concluded) - apparently it removes cookies whatever they are from somewhere which means FR doesn’t recognize my computer when I go online - happens about once every couple of weeks - (Norton Antivirus) is the culprit in my case.....
On Twitter they are saying you did this on purpose. Well, did you?
AHA! Now we’re getting somewhere. Norton.
Shoot, that only explains my home laptop. Not my work PC or my Android phone.
Back To The Drawing Board!
This will not stop until you tell the Cookie Monster to stay away from all your vices. Uh, I mean devices.

The moth don’t care when he sees the flame
He might get burned, but he’s in the game
And once he’s in, he can’t go back
He’ll beat his wings till he burns them black
Nice black X, rookie.
I would guess if it happens on all three different sources it would be something early on at FR’s end - maybe not recognizing your password/screen name ID.....
That’s pretty much where we are going, at this point.
That seems to be what happens - daughter the computer whiz says I can adjust the AV software to leave the cookies alone, but it doesn’t happen that often that it’s a particular bother - and it does help me remember my FR password better than I would otherwise....
Actually I have had the same problem. I can be reading articles and then lose connectivity to Free Republic. I and go back and log in again with no problem. However, this has happened on other sites also. It is rare but it does happen. ??????????????
For me, just FR. Constantly logged out. Living here on a work around, for now.

Keep reading, there is more here than just post #1.
Have you taken off the tin foil?
It might have to do with weird links that you click on after your login attempt.
When I was having an issue, Jim had me directly type "freerepublic.com" into the browser immediately after I logged in, WIITHOUT clicking on any of the links of the page which appeared after the login. This in turn ultimately showed that the login had occurred properly.
In my case it had something to to with some links that were on the page which appears after you do a formal login. Clicking on those "bad" links initiated the sequence of events (redirects or whatever) which screwed up the login somehow.
So if you login, and then (instead of clicking opnn any links) you immediately type "freerepublic.com" into your browser location window (to request that page manually) the result should typically be that you end up on the "Latest Posts" page, which shows that you're logged in (http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/*/index).
I'm just letting you know what happened when I had what seemed like "login issues", but in reality it was not login issues, as what happened is that the login was "reset" by the action of clicking on the "bad" links that appear on the page that was presented after a successful login occurred.
Hope this helps.
