The rifle on the left is an AR type. On the right is a Saiga in 5.45 or 5.56 (they make both). The 7.62x39mm magazine curves more.
We still have no idea what weapon was used. My guess is we’ll find out this week.

Yes, one rifle is an AR type, the other is a Saiga - a Russian rifle.
