That would be pretty cool! I can only imagine how sweet that would be! I haven’t ever tried to hand feed any bird, but I hear you can get a few others to eat from your hand as well. Maybe the bird feed store mentioned chickadees or tufted titmice?

P.S. Is that you feeding them? The ones here are so territorial, they scoot each other away when another shows up at the feeder, although we have 4 on different sides of our home. You’d think they would be happy to share.

That's not me, but I have done it.

It worked b/c I had a *relationship* with the hummies; I could get them fly around me, w/out being spooked off.

We would play *catch* by shining a laser dot on the wall...and gradually, over time, they weren't threatened by me. Started with some nectar in a red cola-cola cap ... it took some time, but *monkey-see-monkey-do*. they even allowed their rivals to join in. It's quite magical, really.
