Read the entire article - not just the headline. :<)
The NYTimes is scum and said she endorsed Crooked Hillary.
She didn’t.
A boob no real man, who identifies as such, would want to touch, LOL.
Maybe she remembers the Dixie Chicks.
Dolly’s always been too smart to endorse a candidate or get embroiled in political discussions. That’s one reason she’s remained so popular, aside from her wonderful talent.
I for one didn’t appreciate this misleading headline any more than she did.
I have to wonder about the hotheads on this site who didn’t bother to read the article before posting something nasty.
Dolly is smart enough to know that it is not wise to
alienate a large portion of her fan base by “endorsing”
HITLER-Y CLINTON. - Dolly is very talented; but I do not
hang on every word that comes out of the mouths of “stars”.
They are not the image they try to portray AND they are
just as human as you and me.
Is Dollywood dry?
Why did you excerpt a portion that neither informs nor clarifies. A pretty low thing to do.
The two sentences after the by line and date are as follows:
” Country music legend Dolly Parton said Wednesday that she was surprised to learn that she was endorsing Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton for president. Shes not.”
Again the question is why you willfully posted as you did and followed with your “ No Comment”?
Who are you trolling for?
Trolling for fun, what about you?
Why can’t air headed celebs keep their stupid mouths shut?
I hear you.
The quality of so many FR thread links are ally grade trash, and the writing is so bad, even on the mainstream websites, that it’s a dread for me to read much of anything anymore.
Pundits making million$$$ have terrible grammar. It’s a dumbed down world out there, and it’s spreading.
True journalism is a dead art anymore, and has been for quite sometime now as everyone rushes to get their story out first. More often than not, lacking details necessary to make a truly informed opinion. Too many articles riddled with grammar, punctuation, and my biggest pet peeve, spelling errors.
I don't mind when an occasional error slips by, but occasional is not the norm anymore.
I guess you’re right. The time race effectively kills discourse and art.
I was remembering that conversation used to be much less the grunting contest it is today, between two or more people, and more of an art form, with an affection for vocabulary and a little story telling was thrown in and thought to be laudable. All things are a fast food operation, today.
she’ll support hillary. even if she doesn’t say it out loud.
country music is infested with liberals
dolly
willie
mcgraw/hill
paisley
nettles
those are the ones I could name off the top of my head.
TRPMEOBHTTTMNS. (They really piss me off because half the the time they make no sense). Perhaps I'm just getting too old!!!
I am cheerfully aging, enjoying the freedom to stamp my feet over acronyms also! They are the height of ego on display.
They seldom fail to draw my response.. “WTH!”. Now that acronym suits my mood about acronyms. HA!! %:D/
Parton has many successful businesses that rely on average joe families as customers. The last thing she needs or wants is to alienate anyone by endorsing a candidate.
No money in it.
