All my files & apps are gone. Sorry to hear that but you violated one of the original, cardinal rules of computing - never keep your data/files on the hard drive.

Not to hijack the thread, but your mentioning SpinRite, which has saved my butt, made me want to plug Gibson Research. BTW, for you privacy aficionados, they have a
great writeup on TrueCrypt, the best open-source encryption software ever.
