The serious work for Obama’s presidential run didn’t begin until 2007. That is why his literary agent was allowed to list Obama as “born in Kenya,” from ‘91 to ‘07. Had there been any pre-planning at all, an error so basic and potentially devastating would never have been allowed to happen.
There were a lot of behind the scenes efforts for some time to eliminate the NBC requirement. That failed, so they had to clean up the “born in Kenya” embellishment. They liked it at some point since it added exotic allure. It was also a myth.
