I doubt if whatever plans they had for him were totally carved in stone when he was a tiny baby. They may not have planned US presidency for him at all, his father wanted him raised in Indonesia which he was. Remember it is said that he watched Sukarno on TV. Remember the photo of him in Indo with a wealthy Indo family. Plans may have changed mid-stream when Sukarno was assassinated, and Zero came back to the US unaccompanied shortly thereafter.
