Hawaii, in my 33 years here, is overall a wonderful place to live, with a fascinating
history & demographic, and an endlessly incredible natural beauty. There is a lovely
sense of family and community that threads people together, which goes under the
monicker "aloha."
I'm not blind to the Dem part control and racial overtones, and this gun ruling.
But there is a richness to life here I wouldn't trade.

I lived on Oahu for thirty years. The racism is bad enough but it was the stench of corruption that finally got to me. I sailed away in 2007. You couldn’t pay me enough to go back there to live.
