Twelve people were killed and more than 50, including a 3-year-old boy, were wounded in shootings across the city between Friday evening and early Monday, according to Chicago police.

The national news continues to cover the Orlando massacre, as they should, but ongoing violence in our big cities, which kills far more people, gets ignored.
Yup. Chicago has been ruled by Democrats for years, so I guess it is just assumed that this stuff is going to happen. “Nothing new here.”
every month in Chicago is another Orlando, or much worse:

Well, you’ve got to look at the positive side: doctors are getting combat wound treatment experience; intern morticians are getting extensive training; maintenance crews are getting experience cleaning up gore and blood from the streets; and the police protection racket has announced record income.

According to Jackass, the current score is 49 shot dead, 228 wounded, only one with an assault rifle, this month. There is another 10 days and another weekend, (Which is always prime range time.), before the monthly score resets.

How many were killed by other methods? How many were run over by cars? How many with knifes? When I was in Chicago’s inner city, the local street gang beat up a local store owner because he refused to pay protection money. The badly beat up store owner died of a heart attack 30 minutes after the gang left his store. That is recorded as a heart attack, not murder.
Let’s recognize when we do not get the complete story.

Today, I placed my Glock 9 pistol on the table right next to my front door. I left it’s clip beside it, then left it alone and went about my business. While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor’s son across the street mowed the yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the “stop” sign near the front of my house.
After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was quietly sitting there, right where I had left it. It had not moved itself outside. It had not killed anyone. Certainly, even with the numerous opportunities it had presented to do that. In fact, it had not even loaded itself. Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the hype by the Left and the media, about how dangerous guns are and how “They” kill people. Either the media is wrong, or I’m in possession of the laziest gun in the world.
The United States is 3rd in murders throughout the world. But if you take out just 5 ‘left-wing’ cities: Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, St Louis and New Orleans — the United States is 4th from the bottom, in the ENTIRE world, for murders. These 5 cities are controlled by Democrats. They also have the toughest gun control laws in the USA. It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data?
Well, I’m off to check on my spoons. I hear they’re making people fat.
If conservatives responded to the Shitcago violence like the liberals did to Orlando’s we’d ban banana’s from being imported to Boston.

So this is the trade off for our African American neighbors:
1. Have hundreds killed by your own, and hundreds more incarcerated forever.
2. Have dozens, potentially killed or injured, by over zealous or corrupt law enforcement.
Both are awful, but by a different magnitude.
