I was *agreeing* with you.
I’m not a big fan of Yosemite. It’s usually too crowded. However, a couple of years ago I had been up in Nevada and decided to drive back through the eastern entrance to the park. It was in May, two days after the entrance opened. (It is usually closed all winter.)
In my life I have never seen anything as spectacular!!! The winter snow was melting. There were waterfalls everywhere, even over the road. There were even rainbows.
I have since heard that late May is the best time to take that trip, especially right after the road opens. You’ve never seen anything like it.
I don’t think driving a big RV would be enjoyable. The road is very winding and narrow and there is a narrow tunnel. Not for the faint of heart.
Whites, Asians & Indians, and Hispanics (the last in CA NPs).
As a NP Annual Pass holder, I visit frequently and hardly ever see blacks - even if the park in question is not too far from predominantly black cities or neighborhoods. Surprises me quite a bit and have always wondered why.
I don’t see many Hispanics, even in CA NPs. I hear Spanish once in a while but usually it is someone from Spain. Two weeks ago I was at 29 Palms and didn’t see one Hispanic. Granted there may have been some there but they weren’t talking and didn’t look Hispanic. Zero blacks.
It’s unfortunate Mariposa Grove is currently closed. If not, that’s truly a majestic corner in Yosemite. The Oakhurst entrance is not as crowded as the other entrances either.
My focus is on the tax dollars he and that caravan of grifters are wasting.
I headed off to college two weeks after HS graduation on my own dime. His oldest is lazying around taking a vacay on my dime. She should be in school.
As long as the national park has an 18 round course and private villas.
OBAMA wants his head on Mt. Rushmore. Thus the national parks tour.
