To begin with, "socialist" and "superhero" are a contradiction in terms.
To be a superhero, one needs the innovation of capitalism and the conservative values of self-reliance.
Progressives argue that superheroes must be socialist because they believe in science, otherwise they wouldn't be able to develop all their gadgets and souped up vehicles, etc., e.g. Batman.

Look...up in the sky...it’s a bird..it’s a plane..no, it’s WELFARE MAN.
There’s always Captain Planet!
{falls down laughing}
Socialists are too lazy to be superheroes.

Bruce Wayne was a capitalist. He inherited his fortune and Wayne enterprises from his deceased parents. In socialism, it would've gone to the state and Bruce would either be raised in a filthy state run orphanage or by Leslie Thompkins, or Alfred. (depending on which time line you follow, the animated version or printed.) In fact Wayne enterprises wouldn't have even been able to exist.
Superman, Clark Kent was a journalist. Freedom of the press is not possible in socialism. The press, the media, airwaves ETC. all that is controlled by the government. The only journalists who are socialists are there to promote deception and lies in order to foster distrust for the government. Same with Press Photographer Pete Parker. (Spider man.)
Captain America, well there's no need to go into that.
X-men we're definitely not socialist. Despite living in a society that rejects them and subjects them to discrimination and second class citizenship on account of being mutants they are willing to stand up for humanity. If they were socialist OTOH they'd be just like some of these leftist minority groups like the ANC or Rainbow coalition.
The hulk: Neither one. Just bloody p**ed
The only superhero I know of that is socialist in any way would have to be Captain planet and the Planeteers. Then again the series is more like a fire marshal bill sketch. I intend to write about them later.
So yes there are some fantastic talking points in this.
The perfect poster man.
Well, they may believe in science but they're too stupid to actually know any of it and too lazy to do it.
As Saint Paul said, faith without works is dead.
What rubbish! Without capitalism there is no Wayne Industries. Without Wayne Industries, Bruce Wayne is just a poor, homeless orphan street kid - he can’t even afford to pay Alfred (so in a socialist world, Alfred must be a slave) and there is no money to pay for the Batmobile and all those wonderful gadgets. Wayne Manor is overrun with homeless people - remember the scene in Doctor Zhivago when Zhivago returns from his military service in World War One. Bruce Wayne wouldn’t be able to keep the bat cave secret. Furthermore, Bruce Wayne is a one-percenter.
It's only natural that they would eventually start seeing their political heroes as having super heroic qualities.
More importantly, their belief in science usually involves them having access to “science” that others do not, which means privately funded science. Wayne Enterprises (Batman) and Stark Industries (Iron Man) were both (fictitious) highly successful development firms that were publicly traded, with huge government contracts to “hide” their secret projects. Lets see, we also have Reed Richards (Mr Fantastic / Fantastic 4) following a similar path, but he did not own the company. Professor Xavier also followed the capitalist approach to building a fortune. I could go on, but I have to get back to work .. cause I am a capitalist.
Spidey was always broke and never sought public assistance, neither did he profit from his civic responsibility. He was an entrepreneur and started his own business selling pictures of himself to support an elderly aunt and pay for his education.
Superheroes are a combination of legendary icons and generational goals and mores tuned to appeal to a adolescent’s self image. A successful socialist superhero would require a generation that wants to grow up to be bums.
We’re not that far gone...YET. They are working on it.
If you were a millionaire that wanted to contribute to change young men’s ideals, goals, values, the comic book industry does influence young minds. Ask a youngster which hero they’d like to be, and ask them why. You might know them better.
I liked Batman. I just thought he would be more interesting if he was an upper middle class business owner that repaired cars in the front of his shop and pumped iron and worked on his automotive experiments in the rear. Alfred would be a retired British SAS/merc who fixes cars to “relax” when not assisting Bruce in his “hobby” ;)
Under socialism, there would be no superheroes because individual initative is paralyzed by the fear of punishment. It would be against the law under socialism to act outside the government’s plan.
Uberman was a National Socialist.
