I understand your position, but just feel Texas needs to hold the ferrules feet to the fire. Everything should be on the table. Article V is a great place to start.

That said, we have some really evil people in our government. I'm not sure we will ever turn this country around. Demographics will not be realized for at least another decade. Flooding this country with Muzzies, Messy-cans and who the heck else will be our downfall, financially, culturally, politically.

That said, Texas should be ready for any eventuality.

Some random thoughts on Texas autonomy

- devolution from state to a territory. Income taxes flow to territory in that case. See Guam.

- de facto nullification.

- deputization of large numbers of Texans.

- expansion of state guard.
